In San Francisco, a new approach is being taken to address the issue of stolen goods being sold by street vendors. Legislation passed by the California Senate has given the city the ability to regulate vendors. As a result, vendors are now required to obtain permits to sell merchandise.

This change is intended to help curb the sale of stolen items. The city has already taken action, issuing warnings to vendors who are not in compliance with the new regulations, with a total of 396 warnings given so far, according to reports from ABC7 News.
