A public poll has yielded results for renaming a downtown plaza. The plaza previously bore the name of a labor leader for 33 years, until it was removed due to allegations. Approximately 10,000 residents participated in the poll, which presented multiple choices.

The top choices are now being considered, with one option leading at 40% of the vote. A committee will recommend the top choice, to be voted on and potentially advanced for further consideration.

Further action is expected in the coming months, with a final decision anticipated in late October.
