A 3.4 magnitude earthquake occurred early Saturday morning. The U.S. Geological Survey reported the earthquake was about 11 miles deep. It was centered approximately 5.5 miles northeast of Brentwood. People in the surrounding area reported feeling the effects of the earthquake, including those between Stockton, Pittsburg, and Pleasanton.

No damage or injuries have been reported as a result of the earthquake. The earthquake happened just before 12:30 a.m.
